"Quarantine has caused everyone to go a little stir-crazy, even the residents of the Kansas City Zoo. So several of the penguins decided to go on a field trip to the Nelson-Atkins, which is still closed, to get a little culture,"

In Honour of Little Richard (Dec. 5, 1932 - May 9, 2020) who lit up the world of music with his unique style. Little Richard helped define the early rock ‘n’ roll era of the 1950s with his driving, flamboyant sound. With his croons, wails and screams, he hit the charts with hits like "Good Golly Miss Molly", "Tutti-Frutti", and "Long Tall Sally". Little Richie was one of the most influential musicians of early Rock and Roll.

Written originally in 1968 by Robbie Robertson of "The Band", this song named "The Weight" depicts the story of a visitor's experience in a town called Nazareth in Pennsylvania. Robertson was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
This rendition of the song features musicians from all over the world, uniting in creating a unified sound despite their distance from each other.

Bill Withers, who was known for pop music classics like "Lean On Me" and "Aint' No Sunshine" in the 1970's, passed away on March 30, 2020. It is in tribute to him and his legacy that I share this recording of his song "Lean On Me", a song that continues to give use all comfort in difficult times. Also a beautiful cover of the song by Playing For Change.
